About VendorCue.ai

The agencies that present best are
rarely the agencies that perform best.

VendorCue.ai was built to close that gap — by replacing the polished sales pitch with documented, independent evidence about whether a specific agency will actually perform for your specific company.

Why we exist

Vendor selection hasn't changed in forty years.

Companies still hire the agency that presents best, not the agency that performs best. The agency with the strongest deck wins the work. The company that needed a pipeline engine gets a content calendar. Six months later, the warning signs appear. Twelve months later, the contract is unwound.

It happens because the evaluation process is structurally broken. RFPs reward writing skills, not delivery skills. Case studies are curated. References are friendly. And the team presenting is rarely the team delivering.

VendorCue.ai exists to fix that — with one product, one deliverable, and one operating principle: signal above noise.

What we do

One thing. Done thoroughly.

We produce independent Vendor Intelligence Reports for B2B leaders evaluating marketing agencies. Each report covers up to five agencies, scores them across our Five-Layer Evidence Framework, and tells you which is most likely to perform for your company specifically — and why.

We don't sell consulting hours. We don't operate a marketplace. We don't take commissions, referral fees, or sponsorship from the agencies we assess. The independence isn't a marketing claim — it's the entire reason the score is worth trusting.

Our Principles

The four rules every report follows.

Independent by design

No agency pays to be included, scored higher, or excluded. We have no commercial relationships with any vendor we assess. Independence is the product.

Behavior over claims

We weight what agencies do over what they say. Observable behavior is harder to fake at scale than positioning.

Fit, not absolute quality

A great agency for one company can be a terrible fit for another. Every score is calibrated to your stage, motion, and structure.

Evidence, then conclusion

Every score is documented with explicit citations. No black-box ratings. No vibes. If we can't show the evidence, we don't claim the signal.

What We Believe

Five convictions that shape every report.

The agencies that win pitches are not always the agencies that deliver results. These are different skills and the market conflates them.
Case studies are marketing, not evidence. A curated case study tells you what an agency wants you to believe. Hiring patterns tell you what they're actually investing in.
Stage fit is the most underrated variable in vendor selection. An agency that performs brilliantly for a Series C company will often fail a Series A company at the same task.
Independence is rare and valuable. The moment an intelligence service accepts payment from the vendors it evaluates, the scores become worthless.
A decision made with structured evidence is better than a decision made with a good feeling. We are in the business of replacing good feelings with defensible scores.

Grant Langston

Founder & CEO

In my years as CEO and Head of Marketing for eHarmony and Warehouse Exchange, I came to see firsthand the challenges of assessing and hiring the right vendor. I made the most common mistakes — choosing a firm I had used in the past, choosing a famous firm, and even choosing a firm that won our RFP process. In each case, the companies failed to perform.

VendorCue.ai is the tool I wish I had when choosing the vendors I needed most.

We're Growing the Team

Enough about us. If you're a former operator, analyst, or researcher who believes vendor selection is broken and fixable, we'd like to talk.
